This commercial location and been referred to our “Citywide Nuisance Abatement Program” (CNAP) in January 2000. Upon referral, the assigned CNAP Building inspector and prosecutor learned that these vacant buildings were open to unauthorized entry, heavily vandalized, marked with extensive graffiti and subject to gang activity (see enclosed “before” photographs of the site). The Canoga Center was considered a dangerous blight for the surrounding neighborhood. Once you subsequently obtained ownership, this property was properly secured and completely rehabilitated.
As the real estate broker and one of the investors of the project, your commitment to improve the structures and the landscape speaks well of your ability to continue to help the City of Los Angeles with other similar properties in disrepair.
Our CNAP staff and I appreciated the opportunity to meet with you at the property. We were pleased to hear about your success in bringing a 100% vacant property to full occupancy with several short months.
